nature of life

The core Nature of Life experience will be participation in three intensive seminars, each of which will be led by a faculty member with 12–15 student participants.
During the program students will also learn about the resources available at the University of Minnesota and get the chance to collaborate with peers, student mentors and faculty in constructing a community of scholars.
Students will get to meet one another over a game of volleyball or around the campfire, and form relationships that can see them through their undergraduate careers.
Finally, during the Fall semester, students complete several short reflective essays, participate in physical and virtual discussions on scientific topics, attend bi-weeklymeetings and additional follow-up activities that focus on academic and career planning success. Students will receive two-credits for completing the Nature of Life course.
